Mr. Weatherbee tells us how Archie came to have a strange attachment to an old, mean wolf at the zoo. In flashback, Archie goes up to Mr. Lodge's North Woods retreat to do a report on wolves, and goes flying over the forest with Mr. Lodge. When the plane crash-lands and Archie is knocked out, Mr. Lodge goes to get help, but while he's alone in the stranded plane, Archie is almost trampled by a stampede of caribou. And after he manages to out of the plane, he faces an even worse problem: Kanyook, a starving outcast wolf who used to be the leader of his pack.; Archie is reading a book called the Explorers of the Unknown, whose characters remind him of his friends in Riverdale. In the book, while working on a movie about his life, Red fights a giant robot that goes on a rampage. He is aided by 6 other experts in their fields, and they form The Explorers of the Unknown. Their first mission: stop Myron Pepperdinkle and his destructive robots.; Nancy shows her boss at the monster museum some of Chuck's monster cartoons.; Archie makes a bird house in shop class but his father accidentally destroys it.; Moose carries Midge through large snow drifts but when Archie tries the same trick with Veronica he drops her in the snow.; The cold in the school causes Archie to move at super-speed.; Archie talks Dilton into tinkering with the wave machine in the Lodge Mansion's indoor pool.; Fed up with the boys eavesdropping on their conversations, Betty and Veronica develop a code to converse in.; Carol works on her cartoon ideas but Chuck's suggestions keep getting in the way.; Archie loses an ice skating race because Reggie tied Archie's skates together.; Jughead and Veronica get trapped in a cave during an avalanche.; Jughead refuses to ski down suicide hill.; When Archie tries to go down an unused ski slope he is aided by the ghost of a skier that was killed years before in an avalanche.; Reggie discusses his place in the yearbook and tries to schmooze Mr. Weatherbee and Miss Grundy.; On Jughead's advice, Reggie asks Dilton to use one of his self-made gadgets to sharpen his skates.; Archie and Reggie use a pogo stick in the school's hallways.; The gang face a rival hockey team at the local pond.; Archie gets a job babysitting Li'l Teddy Turner, who is so naughty no other babysitter will take the job.; Professor Flutesnoot accidentally gives Archie Dilton's test.; Reggie offers to teach Betty about skiing.; Reggie writes his name in the ice with his skates.; Archie scares Mr. Lodge every time he says hello.; Archie can't afford supper at a fancy restaurant.; Each member has a specific type of lamp.; Jughead finds a creative way to scratch his back at a museum.; Jughead tells time with his stomach.; Veronica goes to the gym to watch the boys out-brag each other.; Jughead watches Archie try to ski jump.; Jughead looks at Ethel thru the wrong end of a pair of binoculars.; After watching a mural painter, Jughead knows what he wants to be when he grows up.; Jughead makes a snowman but doesn't clean the sidewalk.; Jughead and Moose walk through waist-deep snow.
