Two detectives are called to an explosion at a fish shop. The owner turns out to be an Atlantean Sleeper who is activated by Namor. Wonder Man is blackmailed by SHIELD into tracking down the sleeper and uncovers a whole cell who are arming themselves. Whilst waiting for backup the Green Goblin turns up and blows the whole cell to pieces. The detectives are left to pick through the scene and find Wonder Man semi-conscious but alive.; Invisible Woman and Human Torch are chased by SHIELD but escape and return to the hideout. Spider-Man confronts Iron Man as he no longer supports the methods used by the pro-registration team. After a brief fight Spider-Man is chased by SHIELD and the two of the new Thunderbolts in the sewers. Dazed and gassed, Spider-Man is saved by Punisher who offers to join Captain America's team. Meanwhile the captured Daredevil is escorted to the negative zone prison.; We discover that Captain Marvel has by a quirk been pulled forward in time. Iron Man, Sentry and Mr. Fantastic ask him to become the Warden of the Negative Zone prison. He discovers that he is dead already and has to come to terms with that before he acts to stop the prison break-out.
