Captain America and Iron Man's pro- and anti-registration teams finally face each other for the final battle. The battle is initially fought in the Negative Zone but as Reed Richards closes the portal to trap Captain America, Cloak transports everyone to New York. The battle rages on with Namor and the Clone Thor joining the battle. On the verge of defeating Iron Man, Captain America is stopped by some police and firemen who help him realise the truth. That they are no longer fighting for the common citizen. Captain America surrenders and tells his forces to stand down. Some are jailed, some are offered amnesty, some remain at large but registration and the initiative have won.; Maya Lopez recalls the events that brought her to Japan and why she has taken on the role of Ronin in the form of an e-mail to Matt Murdock. She was trapped by the Hand and ultimately killed by Elektra. The Hand however wish her skills and bring her back to life and attempt to turn her to join them. The Secret Avengers arrive to rescue her.; Captain America is placed in a holding cell. Iron Man comes to speak to him. However Captain America says he has lost nothing of his character whilst believing Iron Man has sold out completely.; Two reporters expose several shady deals that Iron Man has made during the build up to and during the Civil War but in the end they promise never to print the details and leave. Iron Man is enraged and overwhelmed on his own in the office.
