Conan stumbles onto a key piece of evidence which enables him to prove his suspicions.; Rachel, Richard, Serena and Conan get invited to a reunion of some of Jimmy's old classmates, including a girl he was allegedly infatuated with in seventh grade. During the reunion, a fire breaks out, trapping Asami in one of the burning rooms.; After Rachel and Conan rescue Asami from the fire, Richard begins to suspect Asami attempted suicide. But a half-burned piece of paper and the placement of a candle points Conan toward suspecting attempted murder.; Using Richard as his surrogate, Conan implicates the arsonist. Later, Asami confesses that she was rejected by Jimmy, not the other way around.; Conan's elementary school class gets a new transfer student. Later, the Junior Detective League is asked to look into the disappearance of a fellow student's older brother. The case leads them to counterfeiting and a suspicion of the involvement by The Black Syndicate.; Following the man who passed the counterfeit bill leads Conan to a print shop he suspects of being the counterfeiting source. Meanwhile, Gin orders a hit that will affect Conan's future investigation.; Conan busts the counterfeiting ring and finds the missing older brother. Later, Anita makes a startling revelation to Conan.; With Dr. Agasa's help, Anita explains her history as Sherry of the Black Syndicate and how she's now the same age as Conan.; Visiting a colleague of Dr. Agasa in connection with Anita's condition, Conan, Anita and Dr. Agasa find him dead. Initially ruled an accident, clues Conan points out add up to murder, possibly by the Black Syndicate.; While Richard and Inspector Meguire focus on the wrong suspect in Isami's murder, Conan tries to subtly direct them to the real killer.
