Student Carol Conor is attacked by a crazed cat and then bombarded by electrical energy in Dr. Baker's lab. Later, she finds that she has gained cat-like powers when she fights off a gang of thugs pursuing her roommate Jeannie.; Carol tries to figure out how to control her new catlike powers, and breaks into the Grey Institute for an unknown reason, where she encounters a strange creature.
