Picking up the current timeline, Eddie, badly beaten by Danielle, seeks out his childhood friend, Francis, who is now wealthy. Then in a flashback, Eddie confesses to young Francis that he killed Danielle's father by dropping him from a building after using the drug provided by Francis. The story closes when the man with the strange scar tracks down Francis' father. In revenge for the death of his own daughter after using the Fly drug, the man kills Francis' parents but decides to leave Francis alive.
