In flashbacks, we learn that Francis moved in with Eddie's family after the death of his parents. Francis vows revenge on the man who killed his parents. In the current timeline, a badly beaten Eddie tells Francis that Danielle has found him. Francis gives Eddie an experimental drug that he says will permanently negate the effects of the Fly drug. As Eddie leaves he gets a call from his new girlfriend, Mary, who is at his apartment. Eddie warns her to leave immediately, but Danielle captures her and uses Mary as leverage to threaten Eddie.
