At least, that was the plan.; In need of a faculty adviser, Ritsu discovers information about Yamanaka-Sensei and blackmails her into filling the job.; Yamanaka-Sensei helps the girls become a cohesive musical group in anticipation of performing in the annual school festival.; It's the day of the performance and Yui has lost her voice from practicing too hard.; Yui and Ui host a Christmas party for the club at their home.; Nodoka informs the club that they may be disbanded due to lack of demonstrable activities.; The girls pitch in to help Yui, who has forgotten to study for the final exams that she forgot were coming.; The Light Music Club conducts a recruitment drive for new members from the incoming first year class. However, things don't go as well as they hoped.; Entering high school, Mio is railroaded into the Light Music Club by her longtime friend Ritsu. They soon get another student, Mugi, to join, but they need a fourth member or the club faces being disbanded.; Mio is less than pleased with Ritsu's vacation pictures. Mugi tells Yui that her thick eyebrows are actually Takuan pickles.; Yui and Ritsu exchange humorous anecdotes.
