Mio and Ritsu are so focused on the play, and Yui and Mugi are so focused on supporting them, that Azusa is worried they won't have enough focus for Afterschool Tea Time's scheduled performance on day 2 of the festival.; Miss Yamanaka misses a few days of school due to a cold. The girls decide to visit her at home, hoping both to help her get well and to pry into her private life.; Ui, Jun, Azusa and Miss Yamanaka gather in the club room and nervously wait for news of whether the girls passed their entrance exams.; Yui decides to write a song for the group. But her efforts are hampered by her inability to write about anything but food, and by Ui suddenly coming down sick.; The class plans to put on a production of "Romeo And Juliet" for the fall cultural festival. The class elects shy, feminine Mio to play Romeo and inelegant tomboy Ritsu to play Juliet, much to their consternation.; Azusa is depressed because she fears the other members of the Light Music Club will be so preoccupied with studying for college entrance exams that they won't have time for the club.; Azusa encounters Mugi alone in the club room and the girls haltingly begin to get to know each other more closely.; With entrance exams looming, Yui badgers Nodoka into helping her study while Ritsu forces Mio to help her.; The group begins to suspect that Ritsu has a boyfriend and Mio is unusually disturbed by this.; Ritsu decides the annual club Christmas party is more important than studying and, to Mio's disappointment, the others quickly fall into line.; Yui can't concentrate on studying, so she calls the club over to her house so they can all not study together.; The day of the college entrance exam arrives and everyone shows up at the Hirasawa home to make sure Yui doesn't oversleep and miss it.; With diplomas in hand, the girls say good-bye to Azusa and Miss Yamanaka and head to college.; With summer break waning, the girls decide to experiment with different looks rather than get any solid studying done as Mio wants.; Replacing Mugi's eyebrows with protractors has an unsettling effect on Mugi, so it's Azusa to the rescue.
