The X-Men try to save Lilandra from her evil cousin who is trying to use the M'Kraan Crystal to achieve ultimate power, but the Imperial Guard get in the way. The Starjammers show up to the rescue.; The X-Men's shuttle crash lands in Jamaica Bay and Jean rises from the wreckage as the Phoenix. To facilitate Jean's recovery, Prof X sends all of the X-Men but Cyclops to Scotland on vacation where Banshee has just inherited his ancestral castle. The X-Men show up at the castle and find it already inhabited by Sean's cousin Tom and his pal Juggy.; Under the influence of claustrophobia, Storm re-lives her origin. The rest of the X-Men come up short in knocking out Black Tom and Juggernaut.; Eric dupes Firelord into helping him fight the X-Men, but Jean manifests her Phoenix powers once again to counter the threat. Lilandra arrives on Earth but is captured by Eric. Xavier sends the X-Men through a space portal to rescue Lilandra.; The X-Men and Starjammers are forced to battle the Crystal Guardians to try and gain access to the M'Kraan Crystal. Jean manifests awesome power as the Phoenix and saves the universe from destruction. Corsair is revealed as Cyclops' father.; The X-Men return to the Mansion after saving the universe. During a nice, relaxing afternoon off, Weapon Alpha attacks for the purpose of returning Wolvie to Canada.
