Supergirl is in Kandor, getting a tattoo, while some guy calling himself Kal-El is railing against unbelievers and heritics, and against Nightwing and Flamebird. Kandor at this point consists of Kryptonians and Aliens. As Supergirl leaves the parlor, she is confronted by some aliens, who assault her as a Kryptonian in the wrong sector. Nightwing arrives to stop them, but Supergirl breaks an alien's hand, and almost uses heat vision to kill them. Nightwing intervenes, with the heat vision revealing under her costume Power Girl's outfit. They fight briefly, then talk on a nearby rooftop. They discuss whether it is time to leave or not, but Supergirl says she thinks the key to getting back to Argo City is here. "Kal-El" is talking to his slaves via remote, saying the only way they can be redeemed is to serve Kryptonians, when cries of "Lies" are heard. Nightwing and Flamebird attack, and free the slaves. But Supergirl's tattoo is revealed. "Kal-El" arrives, and destroys all witnesses to the attack.
