Gabriel and Jennifer are out camping with the Rydells and their teenage daughter Carly, fresh out of an apocalyptic cult. When Carly disappears, the detectives track her to her old boyfriend Malachi, son of cult leader Ruth Stanner. Joined by the local sheriff, they find Ruth dead beneath the statue of an angel with a bloody sword. But this was just a red herring. Ruth had her throat cut by a pair of sharpened finger nails! The guilty party is fellow cultist Daniella, who wanted to avenge her brother, whom she suspected had been killed by the cult after leaving them all his money in his will.
