Kyon recruits Mikuru and Yuki to travel back to December 18th and make certain that Ryoko doesn't kill him in the past.; Kyon notices that Mikuru is very preoccupied. Then she recruits him on a mysterious, meandering excursion to buy tea for the clubhouse and Kyon can't help but think that there's an ulterior motive.; The Student Council threatens to dissolve the Literature Club, of which Yuki is the only member, and repossess the club headquarters. So Haruhi forces the S.O.S. Brigade to produce a self-publication of new literary works in hopes of countering the threat.; Kyon tries to build Mikuru's spirits after her perceived failure on her latest mission.; While Haruhi tries to bully literature out of the club members, Kyon investigates the mysterious Student Council President and his even more mysterious Council Secretary.
