But the leadership of the team is a hotly contested issue between two young heroes who both believe they are the obvious choice. Meanwhile, blossoming romances are tinged by misunderstandings, and other interpersonal conflicts abound. The mysterious Father Tonal guides and cautions this new group of chispas against wholeheartedly trusting the gods who gifted them their powers, but he too holds his own weighty secrets.
