The Ultimate Universe is still reigning supreme! Black Panther and Spider-Man return with their cover A variants. They also bring in a BossLogic variant and a second printing cover. Also, the Ultimate Universe book that started it all returns to the top ten. The villains are also returning, as The Joker and Cassandra Nova appear in this week’s list due to the new Deadpool trailer. The Deadpool & Wolverine trailer also drove attention to a comic book that was featured in a quick scene. The significance of this book is still unknown. Marvel also made a huge announcement about the casting of the Fantastic Four. Ironically, the family portrait created a ton of interest in a character that has yet to be officially cast. Read on below to find out which FF character is getting their own little spotlight!

In the large ocean of Joker covers, there are a few that immediately catch the interest of collectors. Fans of the Joker immediately wanted to collect the foil cover by Camuncoli. The sudden interest caused this book to surge in value and sales. The aftermarket is still chasing this cover, potentially making it another iconic cover of the Clown Prince of Crime. We tracked 32 copies sold, at a 7-day trend of 196%, with a high sale of $35 for a raw copy and a current raw NM FMV of $22. 

BossLogic has an enormous following, totalling over 2 million followers on Instagram. Once he started producing official comic covers, there was a huge following that collected his artwork. This book was already trending because of the appearance of the new Ultimate Black Panther. Given that Cover A’s are hard to find, collectors are opting for other variants and who best to collect than BossLogic? We tracked 60 copies sold, at a 7-day trend of 107%, with a high sale of $50 for a raw copy and a current raw NM FMV of $29. 

This Spider-Man book is ceasing to slow down! While it is no longer in the number one spot, it is still selling enough to remain in our top ten. Marvel released the second print this past week, proving to be just as popular. This cover A still remains one of the highest-valued covers out of the set. Its value is nearing that of the 1:100 cover at a current FMV of $73 for a raw NM copy! We tracked 68 copies sold at a 7-day trend of 95%, with a high sale of $203 for a CGC 9.8 copy.

Now that the Deadpool & Wolverine trailer has been out for a week, fans have dissected it, analyzing every scene, and many fans noticed an ominous figure that may be the teased villain, Cassandra Nova. Emma Corrin is the rumored actress who will be portraying the role of the villain. Even with the new trailer, we still do not have official confirmation that this rumor is true. Even so, fans are still banking on her appearance and are picking up copies of her first appearance! We tracked 71 copies sold, at a 7-day trend of 127%, with a high sale of $190 for a CGC 9.8 copy and a raw NM FMV of $16.

The 2nd print of this book has opened to a fast market. It immediately moved to the aftermarket, and fans could not get enough of Ultimate Spider-Man! The other ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN #1 variants have fallen off the top ten, making room for this newcomer. This book will likely reappear next week as well. However, it is important to note that a 3rd print is on the way and will arrive on March 6th. The pre-sales for the virgin incentive cover have already started increasing in value! We’ll see if the 2nd print will remain in the top ten once the next printing drops! We tracked 44 copies sold, at a 7-day trend of 211%, with a high sale of $24 for a raw copy and a current raw NM FMV of $12. 

As everyone is collecting the Ultimate Universe, an early book returns to the top ten. This book is starting to get notoriety due to being the first cameo appearance of Maystorm and the new Ultimate Black Panther. This book may have been overlooked when it was first released. However, since the popularity of the two characters has surged, this book deserves a second look! We tracked 69 copies sold at a 7-day trend of 170%, with a high sale of $48 for a CGC 9.6 copy and a current raw NM FMV of $29. 

This past Valentine's Day, Marvel took to social media to casually announce the cast for Fantastic Four. Fans entered a frenzy with the project's first official news. One detail that fans noticed was the inclusion of H.E.R.B.I.E. in the family portrait. While the first appearance of the Fantastic Four is a grail that the majority cannot afford, the first appearance of H.E.R.B.I.E is well within most collector's reach. The newsstand copy is currently selling fewer copies than the direct edition, which may be due to the difficulty of finding a newsstand copy over a direct edition. We tracked 51 copies sold, at a 7-day trend of 266%, with a high sale of $63 for a CGC 9.2 copy and a current raw VF FMV of $10.

The new Ultimate Black Panther has been generating tons of heat. The book itself was already a hot cover before its release, thanks to the massive success of ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN #1. There was also a rumor that thousands of copies were lost of this first issue. This rumor hasn’t been verified or corroborated, but it was enough to keep the aftermarket buzzing. More information supports that this is false information. We tracked 192 copies sold, at a 7-day trend of 108%, with a high sale of $148 for a CGC 9.8 presale copy and a current raw NM FMV of $57.  

H.E.R.B.I.E is here! While casting for the first family’s robot was not announced, the family portrait included H.E.R.B.I.E. This led many fans to believe that the casting announcement also announced the inclusion of H.E.R.B.I.E in any future Fantastic Four productions. Although there isn’t any official announcement for the ever-lovin’ robot, fans are still banking on his appearance by picking up copies of this issue. The direct edition seems easier to obtain, as it sold nearly twice as much as the newsstand edition. We tracked 91 copies sold, at a 7-day trend of 256%, with a high sale of $350 for a CGC 9.8 copy and a current raw FN FMV of $16. 

This book has a small key appearance of Night Machine, an alternate version of Nikola Tesla. However, this isn't the reason the book is trending. Eagle-eyed fans have spotted this cover in the Deadpool & Wolverine trailer. There hasn't been any official information about this easter egg, so purchase it with caution! We have no idea if this book was there to reference a specific storyline or simply a nod to the title "Secret Wars." Until we get official clues as to the purpose of this book, buying it at the current prices is a gamble! We tracked 166 copies sold, at a 7-day trend of 372%, with a high sale of $249 for a CGC 9.8 copy and a current raw NM FMV of $28. 

RUNNERS-UP

Rickie Yagawa killed this cover! Spider-Gwen has gradually become an icon, with titles continuously growing in popularity. Yagawa capitalized on the namesake of this book, then slapped an exquisite rendition of Dazzler on the cover. If you’ve paid attention to these lists for the last few months, you understand the current appeal of Dazzler around the community. We tracked 23 copies sold, at a 7-day trend of 139%, with a high sale of $100 for an NM raw copy and a current raw NM FMV of $82. 

Collectors went nuts when they spotted Cover A for this book in the recent Deadpool 3 trailer. Subsequently, the various nine variants started seeing increased attention as copies of Cover A quickly dried up on the aftermarket. This cover is especially fitting with all the speculation surrounding a potential Dr. Doom appearance! We tracked 18 copies sold, at a 7-day trend of 217%, with a high sale of $90 for an NM+ raw copy and a current raw NM FMV of $15. 

Some may think Penthouse Comics is a new thing, but back in 1994, it was all the rage before it shut down due to erratic behavior by the bigwigs. Well, 30 years later, Behemoth Comics revitalized the brand to much fanfare. Of the 12 covers released, this book is leading the pack. Who knew pairing women with thrilling action stories would appeal to a wide swath of the comic community?! We tracked 17 copies sold, at a 7-day trend of 266%, with a high sale of $80 for an NM+ raw copy and a current raw NM FMV of $30. 

Upon the announcement Hugh Jackman would return as Wolverine for Deadpool 3, this book went bonkers. Then the set photos leaked, and it went bananas. It’s experiencing less movement after the first trailer, but it’s still moving! The community is pumped for a Wolverine/Deadpool battle. If the trailer was any indication, we’re in for one for the ages. We tracked 36 copies sold, at a 7-day trend of 123%, with a high sale of $380 for a CGC 9.8 and a raw NM FMV of $77.

This book has slid to the Runners list, replaced by the foil variant. Still, fans are excited about the beginning of the Year One storyline for the Joker. With hints of an homage to  Batman #638, it’s become a modern ‘key’ for a portion of the massive Joker fanbase. We tracked 32 copies sold, at a 7-day trend of 136%, with a high sale of $15 for a raw copy and a current raw NM FMV of $10. 

The Kansas City Chiefs did it again, going all the way to secure the Lombardi Trophy. For fans of football, it's not necessarily surprising. What is surprising is how many new fans came aboard this year, strictly for Taylor Swift's proximity to the Chiefs and the NFL. It's been a national sensation to the point NFL broadcasts cut over to Swift at least six times a game. Now that the season is over, fans have to find their fix elsewhere. This cover featuring the lovebirds in the style of the classic American Gothic painting is sure to draw attention, and the aftermarket took notice. We tracked 39 copies sold, at a 7-day trend of 107%, with a high sale of $32 for a raw copy and a current raw NM FMV of $19. 

To the surprise of many, Hellverine has been a smash hit. When it dropped, there was a massive run on this book as collectors wanted the first appearance of the titular hero. It’s done surprisingly well for a modern book over the last few months. It got a recent shot in the arm when Marvel announced there would soon be a Hellverine limited series. He wasn’t on many radars when he first debuted, but the community is prepping for this go-around by revisiting this book. We tracked 34 copies sold, a 7-day trend of 125%, a high sale of $184.64 for a CGC 9.8, and a current NM FMV of $47.

Alex Ross just has a knack for cranking out incredible Iron Man covers. This book is no different and immediately grabbed hold of fans looking to scratch the itch after issue #1. Marvel is cramming this new series with interesting characters, like the new Bullseye (Ramona Jones). The series has piqued the fan's interest, resulting in increased movement before issue #3 drops. We tracked 36 copies sold, at a 7-day trend of 116%, with a high sale of $17 for an NM+ raw copy and a current raw NM FMV of $16.

Madame Web is a bomb, but that hasn’t taken anything from this book! Of course, it’s notable for its connections to the famous Black Suit, but it also features the 2nd appearance of Julia Carpenter, Spider-Woman. While she didn’t fully take on the persona in the film, there was enough there that a small subset of the fanbase would like to see another outing. Regardless, this book will always reign supreme as a coveted Black Suit/Venom key. We tracked 39 copies sold, at a 7-day trend of 107%, with a high sale of $600 for a CGC 9.8 and a raw NM FMV of $228. 

It’s no surprise to see this book hit our lists. It’s the first appearance of Deadpool, a creation that has become one of the most identifiable and profitable Marvel characters ever. Deadpool 3 is on its way, and the fanbase can hardly wait. In the first trailer, Wade Wilson fancies himself a messiah who will save the MCU. Can Deadpool add ‘prophetic’ to his long list of talents? Marvel needs a shot in the arm, and Deadpool is their best chance in the immediate. A lot is riding on this film, but it could push the character to new heights if executed well. It could also open the door for more Marvel projects that are rated R, something the fanbase has been clamoring for. Will Deadpool make history once again? Some think so and opted to pick up his first appearance before we can find out for sure! We tracked 22 copies sold at a 7-day trend of 121%, with a high sale of $1,250 for a CGC 9.8 copy and a raw NM FMV of $403.
