Betty writes an article in the paper about the 10 most fashionable girls at school but leaves Veronica's name out of the list. That makes Veronica angry and she talks about Betty behind her back -- and Betty finds out. Both are hurt, and they angrily decide to terminate their friendship. Only Polly and Mrs. Lodge remind them of why they were friends in the first place.; Betty shows Veronica several amateur commercials she came up with in hopes of winning a corporate contest.; Betty and Veronica get Cricket O'Dell to help find Veronica's first $100 bill given to her by her father when she was a child. The bill was in a box of emeralds -- kept for sentimental value, according to Veronica -- and now has come up missing. Cricket's ability to sniff out money finds the bill and several others. Cricket also discovers the true culprit.
