After appearing on a cable TV dating advice show that suggests they dump Archie, Betty and Veronica do just that. But their resulting fame from the appearance soon becomes overwhelming.; In order to quell the competitiveness of his three suitors, Archie decides to take Betty, Veronica and Cheryl to the prom. But that only increases the competitiveness of Veronica and Cheryl.; Betty wins an essay contest which involves a trip to New York and a chance to win a scholarship. But in her path are two fellow contestants looking to sabotage her and a best friend who can't seem to be happy for her.; Betty and Veronica compete for a spot in the school orchestra alongside Archie, while Pop has trouble with people leaving before paying.; Archie fritters away his date with Betty preparing for it.; Miss Grundy assigns the class to write a journal or story about something that makes them angry. But the DMV misspells her plate.; After being critiqued one time too many by Veronica, Betty begins to wonder why she is friends with the girl.; Veronica feels the boys don't accept her as one of the group because they won't prank her the way they prank Betty.; Sabrina helps a friend entertaining an unruly group of children as a rental clown.; Sabrina convinces Hilda to go jogging, but Hilda finds it anything but healthy.; Sabrina gets her revenge on Reggie for constantly splashing her at the pool; At the beach, Jughead admires the birds, while Archie watches two very special "birds," Betty and Veronica, doing exercises in their skimpy bikinis.; Veronica finds out that Betty is doing her Christmas shopping in July and immediately wants her present.; The day is broiling and Veronica refuses to budge from her air-conditioned home - - until she hears what Cheryl is plotting.; Veronica and her French tutor hold class on the beach, where Veronica gives her dating lessons in exchange for her French help.; Somebody is carving "Archie Loves Betty" in area trees - - and it isn't Archie.; Veronica dates a guy who is obsessed with paying for everything himself and not being beholden to her money.; The designer label on Veronica's new blouse is irritating her skin, but she's loathe to remove it and have people not know it's a designer blouse.; Veronica is looking for Archie, who she thinks is working on Betty's oil pan.; To keep from fighting over Archie, Betty and Veronica agree to date him on alternate weeks.
