Rip sends Booster into the past to stop another time traveler from tampering with the shuttle flight that turned Hank Henshaw into the Cyborg Superman. Also in the past, but at a later point in the timestream, Booster's sister Michelle finds herself in Coast City and stumbles right into The Cyborg sometime before he manipulated Mongul into destroying the city.; Blue Beetle and his friends go to the archaeological site where Dan Garrett first discovered the scarab in order to find out why the scarab has become so bloodthirsty. After Jaime makes contact with the Reach technology, the scarab's original programming re-asserts itself and takes control of Jaime in order to finally conquer Earth.
