Daikichi's request for a transfer at work in order to accommodate Rin's needs causes a great deal of upheaval at the business.; A holiday reunion with Daikichi's family drags up traumatic memories for Rin until his parents reach out to her. Later Daikichi explores his grandfather's house looking for some clue to Rin's birth mother.; As Daikichi begins the process of shopping for Rin's wardrobe and getting her enrolled in daycare, he begins to wonder if he's up to the task of being her parental figure.; Rin begins wetting the bed and Daikichi is in a panic to figure out why.; A chance meeting at daycare with Rin's friend Kouki and his attractive divorcee mother gets Daikichi to wondering about the identity of Rin's birth mother.; At the funeral for his grandfather, Daikichi Kawachi discovers that the man was taking care of his six year old illegitimate daughter. Enraged when his family shuns the child, Daikichi volunteers to take her in and become Rin's surrogate father, even though he doesn't have the first clue as to how to raise a child.
