The Challengers hunt criminal Jacquard, who challenges each hero to beat him at his specialty. Prof loses at a skin-diving competition, Red fails at mountain-climbing, and Rocky gets conked out in a wrestling match. Shaken, the guys decide Ace is teaching them a lesson about overconfidence, until they see Ace lose a dogfight to Jacquard. The guys are distraught until they learn Ace did fake the crash to teach them a lesson, as he actually captured Jacquard days ago. But the villain has escaped and attacks the Challs. Prof triggers the sprinkler system to short out the electrified villain.; The Challengers are rescued by a “Raymond the Challenger Robot” created by the scientist Larue. The Challs soon realize that Raymond is a spy sending information back to Larue, who plots to destroy a nearby missile base with a bomb. Prof and Rocky hide inside the robot to turn the tables on Larue, but the villain disappears. Larue again summons Raymond and again gets two Challs. The Trojan-Challengers grab Larue as Ace and Red arrive and explain the base is safe. Raymond detonated the bomb before it reached the base. "Like us, he was living on borrowed time, but his time ran out."
