When Ferrett and Bruno blow up Alec Holland's lab they create the Swamp Thing. Whey they return to dispose of Alec's wife Linda, the Swamp Thing is there to stop them.; The Swamp Thing undergoes a mystical transferral where he regains his humanity while Arcane obtains the Swamp Thing's body. When Alec Holland finds out that his old body will be used for evil ends he interrupts the enchantment and things return as they were, with Arcane falling to his death.
