Boy and Dombie follow and, disguised as porcupines, rescue the little monkey.; The Aba-Zulu wise man, Gathongo, administers a truth serum to the hypnotic stranger and learns that the tall men among the Tungelus prepare their own food. The stranger then attempts to escape but is stopped by Tavane.
