Tarzan and Buto track a pair of man-killing lions, catching up to them and killing them in the N'goro N'goro.; Tarzan helps repulse an attack on Cathne by the gorillas of Athne.; Boy and a band of baboons trail a hunting leopard to an island inhabited by hunting leopards and their trainers. The trainers escape, but Boy and the baboons kill the leopards.; Dan-el and Natongo continue to search for a way out of the volcano crater.
