In early 1900's Boston, Jerome is a lowly person who comes into possession of an amulet that allows him to transfer his mind into a mummy. While inside the mummy's body, his mind is coupled with an ancient mind that advises him to seek out the women who had spurned him before and kill them. One night while out on a new killing spree, thieves break into the museum and steal the amulet. Jerome returns to find his mind is now trapped inside the mummy with no way to return to his own body.; A stagecoach is attacked by a small war party. One passenger, a rifle salesman from the East, manages to flee, but sees the savages rape and kill the women passengers. He follows hoofprints until he finds an Indian village. From his vantage point above the village, he uses his rifle to kill all but three members of the tribe. They stake him to die in the sun, but he escapes and kills them, but not before the old medicine man curses him to live forever with his wounds. Recovering at an outpost, he discovers that white men had attacked his stagecoach, disguised as Indians.; Fifty years after nuclear war, humans and "demons" (mutants caused by the radiation) begin the Demon Wars. James and Elizabeth live away from the conflict in a forest-hemmed adjacent valley, but when remnants of General Ofphal's defeated demon army discover their farmhouse, they kill James and rape Elizabeth. She bears a half-breed son, Demian, who is shunned by the humans. When Elizabeth dies when Demian is 15, he volunteers for the human cavalry. Sgt. Jagger, another half-breed, trains Demian. Jagger dies on their first mission, but Demian kills their attackers.; Jeesala warns Spook that Sarena is attempting to raise a zombie army. When Spook arrives, Sarena tries to set her zombies him. But the zombies are too slow and Spook ends the threat with a flying kick that sends the voodoo sorceress into a ritual bonfire. With Sarena dead, the zombies crumple to the ground.; Plagued by assassins allegedly hired by his father, Darklon is compelled to return to Nebularia. Despite the fact that it has been many years since he has seen the floating city of Nebulor, the sight of it rekindles painful memories. He reflects on the mutual hatred between his father and himself after his mother died. He also recalls how Blacklore became a substitute son for the Kavar until Blacklore plotted the overthrow of Darkhold. Darkhold how he fled to make a deal with the Nameless One to acquired the power he needed to defeat his enemies.; A population control law is passed requiring that couples must be 100% genetically matched to reproduce. Peter's tests don't check out, but Peter and Susan proceed to have a baby anyway. When their daughter is born, Peter is arrested and sentenced to life in prison. After four years in prison, he agrees to be fitted with a metal body where a computer would take control and kill as part of a top secret project. His first test is to exterminate his own daughter, who is deemed genetically imperfect.
