She-Cat accidentally uncovers a a suicide bomber attempting to assassinate the President and is annoyed by all the adulation that follows.; Sandra and Don invest in Betty's snack shop, but gangsters move in and demand protection payments from Betty. Betty's weak heart gives out during a brawl before Sandra can change to Phantom Lady to help. As Phantom Lady, she tracks down the gangsters and brings them to justice.; Torchy gets a job at an advertising agency modeling bathing suits. Famous explorer Rupert Groggins is also there being photographed. When he sees Torchy, he mistakes her for his lost love Manilayo and kidnaps her. Later, Bush shoots Sandy and tells Rita that Lil killed him, pointing to the fabric he planted in Sandy's dead hand. As Rita attempts to get vengeance by killing Lil, Bush and his partners attempt to use the distraction to rob the bank.
