Eric is cheating on his wife, and Alan blackmails him into performing a radical new surgical procedure. Alan wants his head transferred to a healthy body, and they kill an innocent man to get that body. Eventually, Alan wants to change bodies again and, once again, he forces Eric to help him. But, finally, Eric can't take the guilt anymore. While Alan is nothing more than a (conscious) head on a table, Eric lets him die.; This darn spaceship is infested with bugs! They've even eaten away the insulation on some crucial wires, causing the ship to crash-land on a strange planet. At least, mercifully, there don't seem to be any insects here. But then, the crewmen find themselves scooped up by a huge hand and dropped into a bowl. Make no mistake, the gigantic ant is not happy to find these "bugs" in its salad.; Phil wants to go spear-fishing one night, and his wife, Margie, goes along with him. While Phil continues to dive for a catch, Margie waits on the little rowboat, concerned about Phil's safety. As Phil surfaces with a prize catch, he hears Margie scream. Making his way back to the boat, he discovers that Margie has vanished. A search turns up nothing, but a local man shares his theory that Margie was actually killed by an underwater vampire! So, Phil goes for a swim with a special spear and actually manages to kill a vampire: Margie.; Richard visits his brother, Charles, to steal from him and finds Charles working on a revolutionary new type of coffin that will let even the very poor have a decent funeral. It's sure to make a fortune in royalties! The coffin is finally completed just before Charles drops dead from a heart attack. Now the money from the coffin will be Richard's! He gets in the coffin to see what's so great about it. It begins playing music and eulogizing him, which is nice enough. But then, he's embalmed as the coffin makes its own way to the cemetery and buries itself. Not so nice.; An excavation in Lebanon unearths a strange cube covered with inscriptions. The men who decipher the inscriptions discover that it is actually the "diary" of a huge alien child who visited Earth centuries ago. They read of her tragic encounters with humans that resulted in her accidentally crushing people and destroying cities. The story ends with her death at the hands of a knight. What a minute! That means she was the "dragon" slain by St. George!; There once was a king who liked to eat and eat and eat. He ate all the food in the kingdom, leaving his people to starve. When they tried to take a little food for themselves, the King cut off the hands! So, one day, the royal chef had an idea. The King kept making a pig of himself, so the chef would treat him like a pig. That night, the chef's family had a very good meal: sausages! Mmmm.; Percy is amazed when he finds an eight-inch tall woman perched on one of his rare plants. Even though she can't seem to talk, the two of them fall in love, but there are obvious physical problems. Desperate, Percy manages to cobble together a potion that will permanently shrink him to the woman's size. After a short time together, though, she rapidly ages and dies. Percy now knows the truth. The woman was actually a pod that grew from the rare plant. So all he has to do is wait for the plant grow another pod. Too bad it'll take ten years to happen.; An expedition to a distant star system arrives after a 30 year trip to find that the star had exploded and wiped out its solar system before they had even left Earth. D'oh!; An expedition to a distant star system successfully completes the 30-year trip to find people already there. While the expedition was hurtling through space, faster-than-light travel was developed, cutting the trip to one year. D'oh!
