But Dave realizes Cynthia is sabotaging Donna out of jealousy and tells Donna what matters is that she stopped seeing Jackie.; Carole invites her cousin, Jean, to the city to visit for a few weeks. Jean remembers Carole's penchant for stealing boyfriends, but Jean doesn't expect that to be a problem since she doesn't currently have a boyfriend. That starts to change when she meets a policeman who helps her when she gets lost on the way to Carole's house.; Gale doesn't want to get involved with another man after she breaks up with Tad, but Bob is persistent. Gale clings to the love letters that Tad had sent to her while he was in the army, but the letters had actually been written for Tad by Bob while they were serving overseas together.; Anne and Betty are both dating Eric, although neither is very interested in him. Eric tries to tell each of them that he is seeing someone else, but they both string him along as a joke. When Anne and Betty discover they are both seeing the same person, they decide to show up together at Eric's apartment to see the look on his face. The joke is on them when Jane opens the door, introducing herself as Eric's fiance.
