A mouse escapes from a cage in research assistant Paul Jonas's lab, and leads him to a magic book that can alter the future. He uses the book to his advantage, but the mouse inadvertently causes his death by chewing parts of the pages away, which changes the words written in the book.; A man is led to his death by the ghost of the girl he killed in a car accident.; A marine biologist finds a mermaid and keeps her captive, but when he tries to lure her mate to add to the exhibit he is eaten by the creature that emerges from the sea.
