Kay and Clark fall in love, but she fears he’s never gotten over the death of his wife Amy, who was killed in an auto accident. Kay and Clark marry, and he tears up the photo of Amy he carries with him. Kay knows Clark will never forget his first wife, but she now believes he loves her equally.; Joan is married to “solid and dependable” John but she wonders what life would have been like if she’d married former boyfriend Eddie: “he knew how to thrill a girl!” Eddie comes back to town and Joan invites him to dinner. However, she soon realises “Eddie had never grown up!” and John is the better man.; Ambitious Lisa impresses vacationing model agency owner Garth and he invites her to New York. She tells him “I’ll do anything to be a success!” but he says she doesn’t need to seduce him to get hired. Garth has Sylvia train Lisa and he pronounces her ready for her modeling debut. However, Lisa now knows she doesn’t want success, she just wants Garth’s love.; Mindy and David form a dance team and also fall in love. They wed and their career seems to be on the upswing, but only Mindy is offered a job in a big club. David tells her to take the chance and she is paired with Tod. She’s not successful and to avoid getting fired she flirts with Tod. David takes Tod’s place in a masked dance and proves to Mindy that he’s the only partner for her, on the dance floor and in life.
