In the near future of 1990, humanity has created a computer, named R.O.E. (Ruler of Earth), to settle disputes for it. A handful of communists attempt to re-program the computer to serve their aims, but the computer is incapable of any wrongdoing. Only man, the computer says, has the capacity to be evil.; Tommy's father takes him to the zoo, but Tommy is only interested in the knights and dragons in his book. Tommy's father passes through a mist at the zoo and emerges in Camelot, where he slays a dragon. When he returns to the present, he recognizes his own face in Tommy's book.; Two hunters investigate reports of a gigantic gorilla, but when they confront it, they discover that the gorilla isn't from Earth at all, and that some times force is not the solution to every problem.; Cartoonist Nick Nash uses his comic strip to take his revenge on people, but in the end gets an ironic and surreal comeuppance.
