The district commissioner brings young Blandon to Kaänga's jungle in an effort to locate Blandon's father. They visit the land of the golden people and find Bladon Sr's assistant, Sanford, who has killed the older Blandon and set himself up as a god to the local people. Kaänga exposes the assistant and kills him; The witch doctor Asargi conspires with Terry, assistant to Carter the explorer, to capture the M'gandas' village. Camilla comes and helps defend the village. Terry is trampled by elephants.; Simba's cubs are taken by mandrills who then lose the cubs to hunting dogs who take the cubs to their white hunter masters.
