Billings and Sharkey convince Tonta that they are clearing the jungle near his temple to make it easier for worshipers of Tonta's gorillas to come to him. In fact, they're searching for treasure using mind-controlled slaves as labor. Kaänga and Ann show Tonta that he has been duped and he orders his apes to help capture Billings and Sharkey.; Remley, a dishonest archaeologist and his henchmen, find a Viking helmet. While trying to find the source of the helmet, they are attacked in the jungle by Vikings. They soon discover that the Vikings are an earlier archaeology expedition, betrayed by Remley. Camilla helps the "Vikings" defeat Remley's men. Remly falls to his death and his henchmen are captured.; Wambi plays a joke on his jungle friends and, in the process, defiles a sacred idol. The Lohakkas take Wambi prisoner. When his jungle friends come to free him, they accidentally tip the idol over and the Lohakkas discover that it contains treasure. They happily let Wambi go free.; A Madawa girl becomes aware of a plot by the Madawa witch doctor and white hunter Edwards to raid Madawa supply canoes. She informs Tabu who exposes the plot.; While waiting for word of the whereabouts of the Black Scourge, Terry is staying with Sheikh Ibn Jad. The Black Scourge sneaks into the sheikh's fortress and kidnaps his daughter. Terry disguises himself as an East Indian hunter and takes a caravan of the sheikh's men into the desert. Black Scourge attacks the caravan but is defeated and captured by Terry.
