When Mr. Keeper's radio appears to gives out on him, he and Kid Eternity visit the Earth, only to discover that a madman has invented a way to silence everything so that he can accomplish his crimes.; Tom Thumb kidnaps an ex-con's daughter in order to force him to commit one last job.; When Omar the Magician is proved to be a hoax by the "Magical MacDougals," he implores them to allow him to join them in return for giving up magic. But they don't realize that he has invented a way of eliminating each of them in a scheme to prevent their spilling the beans about him.; Mandrake spots his friend Jerry, the fight promoter and inquires as to why he failed to show up for a dinner date. When Jerry gives the magician the brush-off, Mandrake pursues the matter and discovers that some thugs are trying to get Jerry's fighter to throw a match.
