The ducks and Daisy get Scrooge's promise to match their twenty-five dollars for Christmas dinner and a toy train for the poor children of Shacktown. Scrooge is unable to deliver when the floor of his money bin collapses and his money falls deep into an unknown cavern, separated by only a thin crust from bottomless quicksand.; The ducks and a museum curator race Azure Blue, a descendant of the Vikings, to the coast of Labrador to find a golden helmet, left by a Viking explorer, that will give Blue title to all of North America. Once the helmet is saved from Blue, the curator and Donald have visions of ruling the continent.; The ducks go to British Guiana in search of the world's rarest stamp, a one-cent magenta of 1856, and find it on a letter in the possession of El Dorado, a giant golden Indian. After they retrieve the letter, the ducks learn that it is addressed to a deceased Duckburg resident who named Gladstone her only heir.; Uncle Scrooge fills his money bin with water on a freezing night to thwart the Beagle Boys plans to tunnel into it.; Donald tries futilely to win turkey raffles for which Gladstone also has tickets.; Donald writes a cowboy song that triggers avalanches of snow when it is played on a jukebox at a winter resort.; Uncle Scrooge and the Maharajah of Howduyustan vie to build the biggest statue of Cornelius Coot, the founder of Duckburg.; The nephews have a racing pigeon, named Rocket Wing, who has one fault: he stops when he hears a whistle.; Donald, the nephews, and Scrooge spy on Gladstone, and eventually break into his safe, to learn the secret of his luck.; Gyro Gearloose invents "think boxes" that teach any animals that pass through their rays how to think, talk, and behave like human beings.; Donald takes the nephews to a houseboat on Lake Erie for the summer to keep them out of trouble.; Donald and the nephews hunt gemstones in the desert, trying to match Gladstone's luck.; The ducks travel the country, spending extravagantly to get rid of money that Uncle Scrooge's vaults cannot hold.; Donald has trouble getting his store windows shiny enough.; Donald is angry because the nephews have lent his lawn roller.; The nephews sell towels to the victims of an over-active park fountain.; Scrooge complains about the price at Donald's riding stable.; Donald puts on sturdy clothing to bring Daisy's cat down from a telephone pole.; Donald literally paints himself into a corner.; The nephews make tree ornaments out of Donald's golf balls.; Donald brings his own mistletoe to win a kiss from Daisy.; The nephews write a Christmas list the size of a postage stamp.
