He discovers a futuristic submarine run by a maniacal officer bent on ruling the world.; Mickey agrees to fly a search plane to look for missing air mail pilots and runs into a plot to hijack the mail.; Mickey tries to keep a crusading local newspaper publishing after it is repeatedly sabotaged by local criminal interests.; Mickey accidentally buys a baby elephant at an unclaimed freight auction and becomes responsible for the animal's unwitting destruction afterward.; Mickey, Minnie and Dippy must recover the Sacred Star of Zwoosh and return it to its owners before they have Captain Churchmouse executed for failing to deliver it on time.; Pluto's entry into a thoroughbred dog race causes havoc and leads to the dismissal of kindly Mr. Shoebuckle. This gives Mickey even more incentive to win the grand prize in the upcoming handicap.; On the run from the police, Donald agrees reluctantly to accompany a crew of space explorers on a flight to Mars.; Pluto becomes jealous when Mickey takes an unusual interest in a stray terrier he finds.; Pluto learns that Terry may be small, but he doesn't give up easily.
