Newspaperman Dick Groom arrives in New England's Misty Moors community to cover "Witchery Week". The local Duncan family is decimated one by one - haunted by the curse of the once alive moor witch. The last family member, the lovely Dora, is spared - for a sinister reason.; Old Pearly Marston, operator of the Searock lighthouse, keeps away the dead from the sea by shining his beacon. When the lighthouse is dismantled, dozens of zombies attack the city and claim their former possessions. Marston is able to lure them back into the sea.; Bank teller Arthur Cook is offered the services of a mighty genie. After the brute has disposed of two of Cook's enemies, Cook murders the genie's master. To save money and to operate the fiend himself. Too late Cook realizes he had fallen for an elaborate scam.; The butler Jeffers murders his employer, Sir Wendell Eaton. When Scotland Yard detective Peabody impersonates Eaton's ghost, Jeffers panics and confesses.
