Wendy's aunts get mad at her and turn her into a bluebird. She flies away and encounters some Camp Fire Blue Birds, who change her back into herself by reciting the Blue Bird Wish.; Wendy and the other Blue Birds go to Bluebird Valley to look for bluebirds. Barbara, Suzy and Evelyn follow a trail of blueberries to a giant saucer and are trapped, along with a number of bluebirds, when the Unhappy Giant places an upside-down cup on top of the saucer and carries it away.; The Unhappy Giant goes home and gives the cup of bluebirds to his daughter, not realizing there are also three Blue Birds in it, in an attempt to make her happy--it's her loneliness that makes him unhappy. Barbara, Suzy and Evelyn make friends with her, and her father brightens up at the sound of her laughter. Meanwhile, Foggy the bluebird tells Wendy and Casper where the three Blue Birds are.; Wendy goes to the giant's house while Casper goes to find reinforcements. She tries to rescue the three Blue Birds but only succeeds in making the giant angry, until his daughter emerges from her room and says that her new friends want to go home. She and Casper take the girls back to the rest of the Blue Birds.; Spooky thought Wendy had joined the Boo Birds rather than the Blue Birds.
