Senor Tamale sees a sign offering a reward of $1,000 to anyone who can make the King laugh. He gives it a go and, after countless fails, he makes the King laugh, and collects his reward. On his way home he is stopped and told that to leave the kingdom there will be a $1,000 tax, much to his chagrin.; Incapable of holding down a job, Walter and Horseradish are noticed by a theatrical producer who promises them a huge salary to work for his vaudeville show. Horseradish loses his voice due to a cold and they are both tossed out on the street. Walter returns to being a waiter and his immediate foul-ups result on them both back out on the streets yet again.; Crooks Sliver and Turtle steal some atomic radium from the lab of Dr. Carol Topaze. In order to hide it they throw it into a cave at the zoo. As Dr. Topaze arrives, the crooks retrieve the radium. Jaguar Man, and Ja-Go pursue them across city roof tops as the crooks escape in a helicopter. When they finally land, Jaguar Man and Ja-Go attack, apprehend the crooks, return the radium to the doctor, and deliver the crooks to jail. Jaguar Man then resumes his secret identity as Murray Mane, zoo keeper.; Dippy desperately needs a date for his cousin, Abigail, who is coming to the school dance. A reluctant Stubby gives in and agrees to be her blind date. When she turns out to be a knockout Stubby and Freddy both sabotage each other to keep her attention.; Senor Tamale heads to town and meets up with a marauding bandito, El Murdo, who can not shoot straight. He sneaks up on the bandito, hurls a large rock at the back of his head, knocking him out, then heads on his way.; Roscoe catches fish all day just to find that a lazy possum ate them all.
