Flash and Wonder Woman go to a zoo, but when the electricity goes out, they discover that Mr. Alpha is responsible and head to the city hall, where Alpha is stealing tax money. Alpha knocks them out with electrical current and leaves. In Zenith, G.L. faces the criminal, who intends to steal a diamond-encrusted car at the Sword Auto Company. The Green Gladiator, however, gets trapped in harden magnetic oil and nearly electrocuted. But he and all previous JSA'ers are saved by Paul Turnbull! The reunited JSA listens to Turnbull, who provides the tell-tale clue to Alpha's true identity.; The JSA members, being honored at Midwestern University, are to have a dinner in their honor. However, the Flash can't attend because of a committment made ten years previously, when he and seven of his classmates, along with their college professor, made prophecies as to what they believed their lives would be like, and now they were to examine those prophecies to see how accurate they were. One, Paul Turnbull, refuses to participate, burns his prophecy, and leaves the room. However, using ultra-violet light, the JSA sees Turnbull's prediction that he would become a criminal named Mr. Alpha.; Hawkman and the Atom head to Gulfport to locate Mr. Alpha, whom they suspect is Paul Turnbull, and arrive in time to help deal with a break in a levee. Discovering sabotage, they head to the Jeffrey estate, wherein the owner is being bound by Mr. Alpha, who traps the duo in a flooding room. Meanwhile, Dr. Mid-Nite and Black Canary are in Florida, following a clue that Mr. Alpha was going to use meteorology to commit a crime. As a hurricane warning goes up, the criminal robs a casino using the hurricane as a cover, but the JSA duo find themselves overpowered and placed in a burning room.
