The girls are upset that the boys signed up for football and won't date them as much.; Moose has a part in the school play that requires him to have bad eyesight except when wearing glasses. He's having trouble remembering that, so Betty and Veronica tell him to stay in character until the next rehearsal. Reggie and Archie run into Moose later, where Moose stays in character of not being able to see without the glasses. When Midge comes by, Reggie drops the glasses and he and Archie both kiss Midge, thinking Moose won't be able to see them. We next see Archie and Reggie in the hospital after Moose has gotten his revenge.; Everywhere he turns, Mr. Weatherbee is faced with students singing the "Grabnet" [Dragnet] theme song or using versions of the show's catch phrases ("Just the facts, ma'am," etc.), which is driving him crazy. The last straw is when he interviews a new janitor, whose name is Joe Thursday.; Archie gets a job as a lifeguard. Betty pretends to be drowning in order for Archie to rescue her, but she overdoes the hugging in the water and Archie has to sock her to get them to shore.; The boys are wearing Bermuda shorts to school, much to Miss Grundy's displeasure.; Wilbur and Red sneak into the exclusive Westfield Country Club to go swimming on a hot day.; Archie makes a homemade boomerang. It almost hits Mr. Lodge, who tries to get rid of it by throwing it away, which doesn't work.; Jughead gets hit on the head by a baseball and apparently has temporary amnesia. When Archie and Veronica treat him to sodas at Pop's, Veronica gets suspicious and tricks him into revealing he was faking the amnesia to get free food.; Archie asks the pharmacist to fill a prescription. The prescription is mostly castor oil. The pharmacist gives Archie some sarsaparilla while he is waiting, which, unknown to Archie, contains the prescription. Unfortunately, the prescription was intended for Jughead.; Archie is an hour late for his date with Veronica because he and Jughead were talking about baseball.; Ginger is working as a nurse's aide in a hospital and she shows Ickky around.; Archie and Jughead are working on an experiment to find a universal solvent. Mr. Weatherbee asks them what they will keep it in.; Suzie keeps postage stamps in the medicine cabinet because she bought them at the drug store.; Suzie is told to speak softly when she takes customer's orders because the soda jerk has a headache.; Archie gives a smart-aleck answer to a question Miss Grundy asked about Phoenicians.; Veronica decides she wants to marry at a young age.
