Archie decides to run a last-minute write-in campaign against Reggie for class president. The school election is the same day as the Riverdale mayoral election. Jughead goes to pick up some campaign posters for Archie, but gets the Mayor's instead. That leads to Archie's posters being plastered all over town and he wins the mayoral election.; Reggie keeps getting dates with Veronica because Archie keeps getting detentions. Archie vows not to get a detention for a whole day. The change almost causes Miss Grundy to have a nervous breakdown.; Veronica has an argument with Archie. When Pop Tate tries to help Archie patch things up, Archie manages to make Mr. Lodge think he and Veronica are going to elope.; The Professor has the students identify the smell of chemicals while blindfolded.; Reggie wrote all his girl friends' phone numbers on the wall around the pay phone at Pop's and is devastated when Pop has the whole shop painted.; Archie and Jughead are putting identifying signs over the school doors.
