When Mr. Lodge is entertaining several wealthy industrialists, Archie decides it would be a good time to test the alarm, leading to the usual chaos.; Betty's cabin across the lake from Veronica doesn't have any grass for a lawn. Reggie gives orders to Archie and Jughead to take equipment over on a rowboat. Included is a lawn roller, which is empty and is supposed to be filled after it's taken across. Jughead gets the bright idea to fill the roller with water on Veronica's side, which leads Captain Reggie to go down with his ship.; Archie decides the only way he can keep out of trouble at the beach is to just stay on his blanket all day.; Veronica's family gets a new car. Archie decides he can teach Veronica how to drive--with predictable results.; Archie, Betty, and Reggie go to a carnival sideshow, where they describe the acts in hipster slang.; Archie is elected president of the Music Appreciation Class and is told by the instructor to bring some records for the class to listen to. The instructor wasn't expecting loud rock 'n' roll.; While looking for Reggie, Archie discovers that Reggie owes money to almost everyone in town. He figures out a clever way to get Reggie to pay back the money he owes him.; Jughead gets a telegram with good news.; Veronica is surprised when Betty tells her that Mary-Lou, a plain-looking girl, is a pin-up queen. Betty proves it by taking Veronica to the bowling alley, where Mary-Lou is a pin-setter.; After waiting all day for Archie to call, Betty decides the best way to get the phone to ring is to take a bath.; Pat spills ink on the rug.; Pat gives his friend a wild ride in his wagon.; Archie is day-dreaming. Miss Grundy asks him what "LXX" stands for.; Jughead took Betty to a dance, but his only sweet words referred to the custard pie.; Jughead is staying at Archie's house while his parents are on vacation. He keeps borrowing Archie's clothes.; Archie told Mr. Weatherbee exactly what he didn't like about school. It earned him a detention.; Reggie thinks he'll be chosen for the leading role in the school play.
