Archie talks Mr. Weatherbee into having the faculty attend an ice-skating get-together on Saturday, not realizing that Archie's ulterior motive is make the faculty so tired and sore from skating that they won't be able to come to school on Monday.; Archie and Reggie have a fight to decide to who will take Veronica to the dance. Reggie wins easily, which causes Archie to practice boxing with Jughead. At the dance, Archie tries to take Veronica home, thinking he can now beat Reggie. Unfortunately, Veronica didn't come to the dance with Reggie.; Jughead spends weeks teaching an ant to do tricks, but when he and Archie take the ant to the booking agent, things go badly.; Moose is mad because he overheard Midge say Duncan Fife was a swell dresser. Archie and Reggie tell him that Duncan Phyfe is a type of furniture. Moose thinks he'll play a joke on Midge by inviting her to bring "Duncan Fife" to the Chocklit Shoppe, but Archie and Reggie are the ones who pay when Midge does show up with a real Duncan Fife.; Archie is upset with Betty because she can't keep a secret.; Archie is complaining to Betty about the money Veronica spends on beauty treatments.; Archie and Reggie are waiting behind a billboard to beat up Jughead for snitching to the teacher. However, when he doesn't show, they hope nothing happened to him.; Reggie makes fun of Sam, who stutters, but Sam gets the last laugh.; Somebody swipes Archie's jacket at the Chocklit Shoppe. After describing the jacket, Archie doesn't get much sympathy from Pop.; Archie tries to make Veronica jealous with a fake phone call, but is exposed when a repairman comes to fix the pay phone, which has been out of order all day.; Pat sees smoke coming out of the house window and uses a garden hose--to put out his father's cigar.; Pat gets in trouble when he hits a boy with a snowball.; When Archie forgets his ski poles on his first outing on skis, Reggie brings him something he thinks will be better--a pair of crutches.; A plain girl complains that Betty and Veronica only think about boys. Betty responds with a catty comment.; Archie and Reggie are mopping the halls. Jughead gets to clean up the cafeteria.; Professor Flutesnoot asks Archie to identify the formula HNO3.; Veronica and another girls talk about liking a polka-dot dress they just saw. However, when Betty comes in the Choklit Shoppe wearing that dress, the two decide they don't like it.; Archie and Veronica are snuggling on the couch when they get interrupted by the telephone.; Jughead tells Archie how his uncle fell off a scaffold.; Miss Grundy asks Jughead to tell the difference between prose and poetry.; Reggie ribs Jughead about catching two shoes while fishing, but Jughead has the perfect answer.
