He uses only initials so she may be more interested by thinking it is from the new boy Ray Muncy, with whom Reggie shares initials. Jughead plays a trick on Reggie by delivering the note to V.L. - not to Veronica Lodge, but to Virginia Lumpkin, a less attractive and less charming date.; The Doodle twins, Dilly and Debbie, plan to get Jughead to go out with one of them. Jughead foils their efforts with the help of other guys who wear rubber masks that look just like Jughead, made by his cousin Knobhead who owns a toy business.; Jughead and Archie are so impressed by a demonstration of a humanoid robot, the inventor agrees to let Jughead have one. Jughead's robot is of more feminine appearance and behavior.; Jinx is going to the store for her mother. She meets Gina, who brags of never forgetting what her mother sends her to buy.; Jughead has painted a self-portrait in fine clothing. When a child throws a firecracker into Jughead's window, the self-portrait is now in tattered clothing.; Jughead intentionally paints himself into a corner so he won't have to paint an additional room.; Archie tells Jughead that the dog getting a newspaper at a newsstand is the smartest dog in town.
