Jughead and Trula each get amnesia after being bonked on the head. Encountering each other as strangers, they don't generate their usual conflict. In fact, they have lots of fun together. Dilton figures out that they're both faking amnesia. They tell him to mind his own business.; Puzzled as to why nothing is going on in Riverdale, Jughead and Archie go behind the panels to discover that the writer is missing. Jughead whips up wild plots and wild solutions, all of which take effect in Riverdale, until the writer returns and chases them back to their own side of the panels.; Jughead tries scheme after scheme to make himself unappealing. When Ethel sticks with him through it all, he realizes she's just the person he should be around.
