Jughead sells a cheap lucky charm to Reggie by getting Archie to unwittingly get Betty and Veronica to kiss him and by getting Moose to knock himself out against a brick wall.; Jughead cleans windows at Veronica's house with the idea that he will be invited to the big meal being brought in. Jughead writes on the window-side of the blinds while he's cleaning the windows. The sign says "Open House Free Food." and various hoboes come for the meal.; Jughead impresses the gang with his powers of deduction, so Reggie tries to set him up. Jughead has to find a pin stolen from the safe. He follows clues such as rice grains and Chinese laundries, but after he finds the pin and Reggie leaves, Jughead admits that he used the window clue, as in looking in it to see where they hid the pin.; Pop Tate is very excited about Jughead coming, because it's the day Jughead gets his allowance, so Pop serves him whatever he wants. The only thing Jughead wants is water. He won't get his allowance until tomorrow.; Moose tries to repeat a romantic line from a movie but gets it all wrong and makes Midge mad at him.; Archie wants a particular shirt to wear, but his mother threw it in the laundry. He had written his history notes on it.; Pop gives Jughead an omelette with eggs fit for a museum.; Pat comes to his dad with his troubles. A man who appears to have been on the receiving end of Pat's mischief follows him through the door.; Pat says he wants to be a general in the army. The cop says that's dangerous because the enemy might shoot him. Pat decides he will be the enemy instead.
