Jughead helps Moose by writing poems for the new girl, Midgie. Other girls think Jughead is writing the poems on his own behalf and they threaten to beat up Moose if he hurts Jughead. Jughead begs Moose to beat him up rather than face girls who think Jughead is truly a romantic, but Moose is scared of what the girls might do to him.; Jughead and Archie try to start an egg farm with a rooster but trade it in for two ducks until Veronica gets mad that they are exploiting the ducks. Jughead says to make sure not to invite her for the roast duck dinner.; Jughead helps Betty build a kite to impress Archie, but on the way to an open location to fly it, Jughead flies out of the back seat when the kite catches the wind.; Betty and Veronica think Archie is distracted by girls with short hair, but they decide between them that long hair is best. They both show up at the dance with short hair.; Veronica asks Uke to play for her in a canoe in the moonlight. She failed to mention that Reggie would be in the canoe as well.; Jughead visits a diner with an all-you-can-eat special for only 50 cents. He is amazed how it can be so cheap to eat so much, so the owner tells them they also own the hospital next door.; Jughead mixes cake batter, not so he can bake a cake, but so he can lick the entire bowl of batter clean. After lying on the beach in the sun, the doctor determines he has eaten an entire freshly baked cake without taking a bite.; Jughead names who each animal in the zoo looks like. Archie says the animal Jughead looks like is pulling a cart outside of the zoo - a donkey.
