Peter tries to get a job but fails because of his bad work record. Peter is then mugged by a guy dressed with a Spider-Man mask. He has his web-shooters and wallet stolen. Badly needing a job Peter heads back to the Daily Bugle and confronts Jonah. Unfortunately Jonah has a heart attack and collapses.; Whilst the mugger is fencing the goods he discovers he has Spider-Man's web-shooter. He goes on to use it in robberies. Mister Fantastic is stealing the blood of Bruno Karnelli to allow him to make a gas to attack the crime family. Spider-Man gets there in time to warn them but they ignore the warning and attack himself instead. The gas overwhelms everyone, including Spider-Man.; Spider-Man is going to give a birthday cake to Aunt May but is almost run down by Overdrive and he swoops into action. He manages to catch Overdrive and is given some assistance from Jackpot.
