Batman is seeking to capture John Varden, but the wily criminal eludes him. Meanwhile, an out-of-town detective named Crane enters the picture, accidently discovering Batman's true identity, a fact well publicized by the media.; Batman injures his foot, so Robin must fill in for the Caped Crusader at the Batman Exposition, where he is being honored. Unfortunately, the Boy Wonder is attacked there by a mob who seek the diamonds the boy is carrying, and Robin must use his wits to stop them.; A new underwater species is discovered, but a diver seeks to sabotage efforts to study it, so Batman must step in and save the creature and its egg.
