A small time criminal moves to Gotham and initiates a series of crimes, dressed as the bizarre Signalman. But Batman solves the clues to Signalman's crimes and nabs him.; Professor Nichols contacts Bruce and Dick to show them his new time ray, and asks then to send him back into the days of ancient Rome so he can experience what they do on their travels. But when he doesn't automatically return, Batman and Robin head into the past to locate him.; Batman wakes from a sound sleep to find himself in a mental ward, not realizing that a Professor Milo had given him a dose of amnesia gas that dulls the will to live.
